Activities/Attractions: The town of Monterado is the perfect opportunity for a holiday between the sea and the hills in a historical setting with simple, genuine surroundings. The very heart of the town is in the small square in front of the castle surrounded by the old houses and where busy daily life still goes on as before. In the town of Monterado and immediate vicinity there are:

The Wood On the hillside where the castle stands is a wood of pine trees and secular oaks planted in 1846 by Count Cerasi. There are seven hectares of parkland, with suggestive shaded pathways for enjoying tranquility, strolling or sitting in a calm area for reflection and meditation, absorbing the surrounding nature. The park includes a splendid flower garden with an aroma of bay, viburnum and other Mediterranean essences.

General Information: Welcome to Castello di Monterado ... where hospitality is a tradition in our family, which we are eager to continue and share with others. We have therefore decided to open up our home to guests and to offer you the opportunity to reside in a castle, rich in history and legacy. This ancient residence is perched on top of one of the many hills characterizing the Marche, it is surrounded by an Italian-style garden and a vast wood. The views are truly charming, they extend over the Cesano valley, stretching from the Apennines to the Adriatic sea.
We are delighted to invite you into our lavish halls and suites, adorned by the exquisite nineteenth century frescoes of Corrado Corradi, one of the most renowned artists of our region ... each suite different from the other as to history and decoration, offering ample, comfortable space, richly furnished with period furniture, for relaxation, reading or watching television, in a calm charming atmosphere of days gone by.

- Suite Degli Sposi: The main bedroom was ordered by Maximilian de Beauharnais for
his wedding with the daughter of Czar Alexander of Russia

cherubs chasing each other across the bedroom ceiling
- Suite Afrodite: The centre of the bedroom ceiling is decorated by a scene
depicting the birth of Aphrodite from the sea
The Castle also features The old kitchen, The old chapel, The library, The billiard room, The dinner room, The music room and The Four Seasons Room.
In an ancient renovated building in the historical centre, located opposite the castle, six completely furnished apartments are available, with high quality fittings, and complete with kitchen equipment and tableware. Bedroom and bathroom linens supplied upon request.
