Activities/Attractions: North Queensferry is a small place in Fife, on the other side of the Firth of Forth. It's a very small village but with a very strong character.

North Queensferry is an nice and peaceful place with great views over the Forth Bridges and Inverkeithing Bay. It is linked to South Queensferry through the Forth rail and road bridges spanning across the Firth. From here onwards we have the Kingdom of Fife with its Coastal Path.

General Information: Battery House B&B is a Victorian Villa built in about 1880, set in established garden grounds looking south over the river towards Edinburgh and the spectacular Forth Rail Bridge. Many original details have remained unchanged, including high ceilings, our curving staircase, stained glass and ornate plasterwork.

We are a family home offering a warm welcome and Scottish Tourist Board three star facilities, the tranquility of living by the river with the convenience of being so close to Edinburgh.

  • One en-suite family/double room which comprises double bed and bunk beds. Views across the ancient St James' Harbour to the River Forth and the hills of Fife.

Laundry and ironing facilities are available. We are a no smoking establishment. You will find fresh fruit and nibbles in your room together with a selection of teas, coffee etc. TV and radio, hair dryer, local information and timetables.

The half-hourly local rail service to the centre of Edinburgh takes about 15 minutes. If you are going into town, the train can be far quicker than the car and without the parking problems.
