Activities/Attractions: During spring, summer and fall one can hike miles of hiking trails surrounding the lodge, including a short connecting link to the Superior Hiking Trail. One can also walk along the rocky shore of Lake Superior and on the trails within Cascade River State Park. The Superior National Golf Course, which is considered by many to be the Cadillac of Minnesota golf courses, is only 11 minutes away.
During the winter the lodge is surrounded by 50km of cross-country skiing trails which are groomed with a Pisten Bully grooming machine starting from the lodge. The Lutsen Mountain Ski Area is only 11 minutes away.

General Information: Cascade Lodge is located in the midst of Cascade River State Park and overlooking Lake Superior ... offering the historic main lodge, log cabins and a family restaurant. We are open year-round, conveniently located between Lutsen and Grand Marais, Minnesota and are AAA endorsed. Hiking and cross country ski trails are right out the door!
Cascade Lodge has rooms in our main lodge, cabins, motel units, and a house to accommodate you or your group! All units have TV, phone, coffee makers and private baths. Cascade Lodge features a variety of accommodations to fit our visitors needs.
- The Main Lodge
rooms feature a variety of options including fireplace,
kitchenette, two person whirlpool bath, and view of Lake Superior.
The lodge living room has plenty of books and magazines, a grand
piano, and fireplace. The lodge also features a game room
- Most of the Cabins are of log construction. Nine of the
cabins have fireplaces, some have kitchenettes and whirlpool baths.
Four cabins are located next to Cascade Creek, and others have a
view of Lake Superior
- Three of these Motel units are standard hotel type rooms.
Another unit has 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette

The House is located 2 miles north of the lodge this unit offers plenty of space and privacy. This is ideal for small groups
