General Information: For over a decade, visitors to Kauai's sunny Poipu Beach resort area have been enjoying Hale Pohaku. What keeps bringing people back, year after year, is our unique combination of authentic plantation-era accommodations combined with a level of privacy not commonly found in the Poipu Beach area.
Staying at Hale Pohaku is like spending your vacation in your own private vacation retreat. Within our gated half-acre compound are two fully restored 2 bedroom/1 bath historic plantation cottages, a third larger cottage built to mimic the other two, and our 5-bedroom/3 bath historic plantation Manager's House.
Only a few seconds' walk from the pristine white sandy beaches of Poipu, you'll be lulled to sleep every night by the waves, and awaken every morning to the gentle sea breezes. Our four units are as follows:
- The Manager's House - a fully renovated
plantation style home which can be rented either as a four
bedroom/2 bath property (maximum capacity 8), or as a five
bedroom/3 bath unit (maximum capacity 10)
- The Jungle Cottage - a fully restored plantation
cottage built in the 1940s, featuring 2 bedrooms and one bathroom,
maximum capacity 4
- The Orchid Cottage - also a fully restored
plantation cottage from the 1940s, 2 bedrooms/1 bath, maximum
capacity 4
- The Beach Rose Cottage - built ten years ago,
this cottage also features 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, providing
accommodations for 4 people
