It is noted for its laid back easy lifestyle, breathtaking sunsets, and wonderful shelling. Often compared to the Caribbean, Captiva Island's beach has white sugar sand, speckled by pretty and unusual shells. (The shells are not a problem with walking barefoot on the beach; sandals or water shoes can also be used if you have a concern).
The beach is natural and not crowded. The Captiva Island beach is one of the most gorgeous in the world, and has been named one of the most romantic in the America! The beach is "child friendly" and swimming is safe for all ages with a gradual slope at the water line. Activities abound including: surf fishing, shelling, sunbathing, bird watching, boating, tennis, biking and hiking.

"We had a wonderful time at your villa! I must say, we were pleasantly surprised by the topnotch condition of the unit and how fully equipped it was. This was our second experience renting a vacation condo over the internet, (with the owner direct) and I will admit we were a bit nervous. The first experience we had was last March when we rented a condo in Maui for two weeks ... the location was breathtaking, but the unit was in poor condition ... not true with your unit!! It was great having the pool in the early morning, after the "long" walk back from the beach, and for relaxing late at night. We all managed to find time during the day to "check in" on the laptop, so we didn't feel TOO guilty about being away. The house is spacious enough for 5 adults to never be in each other's way, yet has such a homey, cozy feeling about it."
